New Delhi, Thursday, Nov 20 — At least three private schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Thursday morning, triggering major security checks and evacuation measures across campuses, officials said.

Among the schools that received the threat are The British School in Chanakyapuri and Modern School, Barakhamba Road. Authorities immediately alerted the police, following which multiple agencies launched coordinated search operations.

A bomb disposal squad, dog squad, fire department teams and district police units were rushed to the locations. Classrooms, corridors, school grounds and surrounding areas are being combed thoroughly.

“So far, nothing suspicious has been found. We are carrying out search operations,” a police officer said.

Students and staff were evacuated as a precaution, and parents were informed by the respective schools.

Officials said they are treating the threats seriously and are working to trace the source of the emails.

Further updates are awaited.
