HFCL Limited has secured a purchase order worth approximately ₹135.09 crore from RailTel Corporation of India for an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) related to the Secure Operations (OPS) Network used by Indian defence forces. The contract has been awarded in the normal course of business and will run for a period of five years ending January 2031.
The company had earlier executed the implementation phase of the Secure OPS Network project for Indian defence establishments under a RailTel contract. As part of that project, HFCL completed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of one central data centre and 120 mini data centres across defence establishments in India. The project included secure communication infrastructure comprising hardware, software, AI-enabled network security and data centre infrastructure.
Following the completion of the warranty period, RailTel has now awarded HFCL the maintenance contract covering end-to-end support services for the infrastructure. The scope of work includes preventive and corrective maintenance, network monitoring, incident management, performance optimisation and 24×7 technical support services aimed at ensuring high availability and reliability of critical defence communication operations.
HFCL said the order reflects continued trust from government customers in the company’s capabilities in implementing and maintaining mission-critical secure communication infrastructure. The company also clarified that the order is domestic in nature and does not involve any related party transactions.
