Vadilal Industries has announced that an independent audit has found no material non-compliance with the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, and the Code on Wages, 2019, across its plant locations. This follows a comprehensive review conducted by a Big 6 accounting firm.

The Board of had previously formed a sub-committee, comprising Independent Directors and Key Managerial Personnel, to oversee the assessment of the company’s compliance with statutory wage provisions. The independent firm was tasked with evaluating whether the company paid minimum wages to its workforce in accordance with the Wage Codes.

The audit covered the company’s , , and plants, reviewing wage payments from April 2025 to March 2026. The firm conducted an extensive review, which included verifying monetary values in vendor wage summaries against invoices, and checking 100% of wage data for all vendors during peak demand months. This involved verifying individual employee wages against applicable minimum wage rates, reconciling net pay figures with bank payment advice, and cross-verifying salary register entries with supporting documentation.

The independent audit concluded that there were no wage shortfalls at the individual employee level across any of Vadilal Industries’ plant locations. Additionally, the company conducted its own review of minimum wage compliance for direct employees and found no non-compliance with the Wage Codes.

Following the audit, Vadilal Industries’ Board has decided to implement several operational best practices. These include the digitalisation of wage registers and related records, and the installation of biometric systems across all plant locations to ensure ongoing compliance with labour laws.
