Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary, commemorating his contribution to India’s unity and integrity.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister described Patel as “Bharat Mata ke mahan sapoot, loh purush, Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel” and offered floral tributes at his statue in Lucknow. He also inaugurated the ‘Run for Unity’, an event dedicated to the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (One India, Self-Reliant India), held as part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) celebrations.
“The ‘Run for Unity’ inspires the youth with the spirit of patriotism and national unity, weaving the message of a ‘New India’ into a single thread,” Yogi Adityanath said, adding that Sardar Patel’s courage, vision, and ideals continue to guide the nation.
