National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a government-owned company, has announced plans to launch a cutting-edge nano urea variant at its Nangal plant. This innovative product will be produced at a capacity of 1.5 lakh bottles of 500 ml per day, leveraging advanced nano technology.
The company is conducting extensive field research to evaluate the effectiveness and market acceptability of various nano urea variants. Nano urea offers multiple advantages, including improved nutrient uptake and a slower nitrogen release rate. It is also more environmentally friendly, as it reduces nitrogen loss to the atmosphere, thereby mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.
NFL, the largest urea producer among central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) in India, continues to expand its agribusiness. In addition to its diverse fertilizer portfolio, the company also provides seeds and crop protection products, along with alternative fertilizers tailored to Indian soil conditions.
