The much-anticipated film Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay, finally entered theatres on Thursday, October 19, and its release is nothing short of a celebration for fans of the south superstar. Hundreds of people were seen queuing outside Mumbai theatres in the early hours of Thursday, taking the celebrations to the streets.
Several videos and pictures of the excitement have now gone viral on the internet, showing fans dancing and bursting firecrackers outside Mumbai theatres.

The first screening of Leo held at 3 a.m. at multiple Mumbai venues, and fans made sure to see the picture before anybody else. Outside the Huma Mall in Kanjurmarg, Mumbai, fans were seen dancing to the beats of dhol and loudspeakers. They also set off fireworks and sprayed colour bombs.

Meanwhile, Leo had been entangled in a legal quagmire for more than a month before the film’s theatrical debut.
It all started when the film’s trailer was published, in which Vijay was heard screaming a vulgar word to his adversary, which did not sit well with his admirers, who noted that the actor has a large fan base and that using bad language can have an affect on young minds.
While the film received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board, the trailer received an A certificate.
