Seven Screen Studios Production, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, have petitioned the Madras High Court to allow the film to be exhibited at 4 a.m. on the first day of the film’s release in Tamil Nadu. The eagerly anticipated picture is expected to hit theatres on October 19, 2023.

The producers have also requested that Leo be shown at 7 a.m. from October 19 to October 24. According to ANI, the petition will be heard by the Madras High Court tomorrow.

The Tamil Nadu government granted Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo permission to hold one extra show for the first six days on October 13. They did, however, clarify that the first screening of the film will take place in the state only at 9 a.m.

“All theatres can screen only one special show, the opening show will start at 9 am and the last show will end at 1.30 am,” the announcement said.

The trailer for Leo has made quite a stir on social media, and Vijay fans are going out of their way to express their excitement ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.

The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has apparently received a U/A certificate, while the trailer has received an A certificate.

Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay’s second collaboration is Leo, following their 2021 blockbuster Master. Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Harold Das, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Maya S Krishnan, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand also appear in the film.

The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on October 19, 2023.
