Aarti Pharmalabs Limited has reported a minor chemical leak at its Unit-VI in Tarapur, Palghar, which occurred on 22nd March 2026. The incident involved a leakage of dimethyl sulphate, an industrial chemical, during the loading process into a tanker. The leak was promptly addressed, and as a precautionary measure, 22 workers were admitted to a local hospital for observation. More than half of them have already been discharged.
The company has informed the local police, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed. An investigation is currently underway, with Aarti Pharmalabs fully cooperating with the authorities. The company has confirmed that there was no loss of life or damage to property, and normal operations at the plant were restored within 24 hours.
According to the details provided under the SEBI Master Circular, there was no loss or damage reported, and the incident is covered by insurance. The company has stated that there is no estimated impact on production or operations due to the incident.
