Mphasis shares slipped nearly 2% in early trade on Friday after the IT services company reported its consolidated financial results for the third quarter of FY26. As of 9:43 AM, the shares were trading 1.64% higher at Rs 2,764.10.
For the December quarter, Mphasis reported consolidated revenue of Rs 4,003 crore, marking a sequential increase of 2.6% compared with Rs 3,902 crore in the previous quarter. The revenue growth reflects steady demand across key client segments, although it remained broadly in line with market expectations.
Operating performance showed marginal improvement during the quarter. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose 2.2% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 609 crore, up from Rs 596 crore in Q2 FY26. However, EBIT margin stood at 15.2%, slightly lower than 15.3% reported in the preceding quarter, indicating mild pressure on margins due to costs and operational factors.
Net profit, however, declined on a sequential basis. Mphasis reported consolidated net profit of Rs 442 crore for Q3 FY26, down 5.7% from Rs 469 crore in the previous quarter. The drop in profitability weighed on investor sentiment, contributing to the early decline in the stock price.
