Two unidentified individuals were found dead inside a Los Angeles home owned by acclaimed director and actor Rob Reiner on Sunday night, triggering an ongoing investigation by authorities. The incident has drawn widespread attention after being first reported by NBC Los Angeles and later confirmed by TMZ.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters responded to a call at the Brentwood residence at around 3:30 p.m. local time to provide medical assistance. Inside the home, emergency personnel discovered the bodies of a man and a woman. The man is believed to be approximately 78 years old, while the woman was around 68, based on preliminary information shared with NBC LA.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, and officials have not confirmed their relationship to Rob Reiner. At this stage, it remains unclear whether the individuals were residents, acquaintances, or staff connected to the property.
TMZ reported that Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived at the scene roughly 10 minutes after firefighters were dispatched.
