Shares of Gujarat Fluorochemicals fell more than 3% in early morning trade on May 27 after the company reported a sharp decline in quarterly net profit, even as revenue increased on a year-on-year basis.

At around 9:30 AM IST, Gujarat Fluorochemicals shares were trading lower after reacting to the company’s March quarter earnings announcement.

The stock opened at Rs 3,666 compared to its previous close of Rs 3,784.20. During the session, the stock touched an intraday low of Rs 3,621.10 and a high of Rs 3,684.90.

The company’s 52-week high stands at Rs 4,050, while the 52-week low is Rs 2,916.60.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals Q4 Results

For the fourth quarter, Gujarat Fluorochemicals reported consolidated revenue of Rs 1,369 crore, up 11.8% from Rs 1,225 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

EBITDA rose marginally by 0.7% to Rs 308 crore from Rs 306 crore in the year-ago period. However, EBITDA margin contracted to 22.5% from 25.0% on a year-on-year basis.

The company’s net profit declined sharply by 41.4% to Rs 112 crore in the March quarter, compared to Rs 191 crore reported in the same period last year.
