ITC Ltd reported a sharp quarter-on-quarter surge in profitability for the March quarter of FY25, with net profit jumping 246.9 percent to Rs 19,561.5 crore from Rs 5,638.25 crore in Q3 FY25, as per the earnings report shared by ET Now.
The company’s revenue rose modestly by 1.1 percent to Rs 17,248.21 crore, compared to Rs 17,052.82 crore in the previous quarter. Despite the muted top-line growth, operating performance showed improvement, with EBITDA rising 2.7 percent sequentially to Rs 5,986.39 crore, up from Rs 5,828.38 crore.
EBITDA margin expanded by 50 basis points to 32.4 percent, compared to 31.9 percent in Q3 FY25, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
While the revenue growth remained stable, the significant spike in net profit indicates the presence of extraordinary or one-time gains, which the company has yet to disclose in detail.
