Model-actor Lin Laishram took on the trolls-who often body-shamed her for her weight-with lots of confidence as she shared her angst over nasty comments on her recent post. Lin had recently walked the ramp for India’s local artisans and handloom industry. She posted a behind-the-green-screen-to-ramp video on social media and wrote a soul-stirring caption to hail body positivity. In the caption, she spoke on body positivity, encouraging women to love themselves and feel no shame, harboring no guilt.
However, many women began to troll her about her weight in the comment section. In response to this troll, Lin wrote, “I’m shocked by women in my feed making fun of my weight. It’s disheartening to see this from those who should understand the challenges we all face. But to all those people: I can still rock a ramp, a photoshoot, even overweight, and i refuse to fit into your narrow expectations. Don’t let your negativity make the saying “women are women’s worst enemy” true.”
