Just a few days ago, we got word that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE might be launching as early as October. Now, there’s more evidence suggesting that this mid-range phone could be arriving sooner than we thought.
According to a report from 91mobiles, the Galaxy S24 FE has passed through the certification process at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This is a mandatory step before any gadget can be sold to consumers in India. The product number listed in the BIS filing matches the one seen on a support page on Samsung’s website, which further hints that the company is gearing up to launch this more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy S24.
For those unfamiliar with the FE (Fan Edition) series, it’s Samsung’s way of offering more budget-friendly versions of their flagship phones. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was released in October 2023, so it makes sense that we’re hearing about its successor now.
Rumors about the Galaxy S24 FE have been circulating for a while. It’s expected to feature a larger battery and a brighter display compared to the Galaxy S23 FE, which would be welcome improvements. However, don’t get your hopes up for the camera, as it’s likely to have the same setup as the current model, meaning there might not be much change in photo and video quality.
An October 2024 launch has been mentioned before, and it aligns with last year’s timeline. Interestingly, there was no Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, possibly because the Galaxy S21 FE came out late in January 2022. So, all signs point to the S24 FE arriving right on schedule this year.
