The new Honda Freed MPV has been unveiled ahead of its arrival in Japan next month. The Honda Freed is a famous three-row minivan from the Japanese automaker that is available in several worldwide countries, including some countries in ASEAN.
Honda Freed has been totally modified for 2024, and the first details revealed by the carmaker suggest that the MPV will receive two different styling packages.
The standard Freed features a wide glasshouse, horizontal lines and a simple front and rear appearance, making it a simple design. The more rugged-looking Freed Crosstar features a modified grille and bumper design, more faux brushed aluminium inserts all around, a new alloy-wheel design and slightly modified headlights.
There are petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrain options for the new Freed. Although Honda has not yet disclosed all of the powertrain specifications, it is known that the Freed will be equipped with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid technology, which consists of a 1.5-litre petrol engine and two electric motors. The entry-level Freed will have a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol unit mated to a CVT transmission.
