Karan Johar is all set to roll out the third instalment of the Dulhania franchise. After two successful hits with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the filmmaker is planning on making a prequel. However, it seems like Alia Bhatt will not be part of the franchise this time.
According to a report, it has been known that Alia won’t be returning to the Dulhania franchise and Janhvi Kapoor has been roped in for the prequel. The reasons seem uncertain for the shift in the cast. Janhvi will be collaborating with Varun Dhawan after their hit on-screen chemistry with Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal.
The report further suggests that Shashank Khaitan will be directing the third instalment as well, who has helmed the prior parts. The upcoming film will have a new storyline and appeal. It also inculcates new characters.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi Kapoor has a few projects lined in line. She will be next appearing in Rambo alongside Tiger Shroff. While she has wrapped up the shooting for Mr and Mrs Mahi, wherein she is cast opposite Rajkumar Rao.
2024 seems to be an outstanding year for Janhvi as she will making her debut in Telugu with Devara, alongside Jr NTR. She will be pairing with Siddharth Malhotra for Spider and with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Matthew for Ulajh.
Varun on the other hand is busy shooting for Theri’s remake. After completing the shoot, he will begin shooting for the third instalment of Dulhania.
