CSB Bank has announced the appointment of , Chartered Accountants, as one of its Joint Statutory Auditors for the financial year 2026-27. This appointment comes following the approval from the (RBI), as conveyed in a letter dated May 26, 2026. M P Chitale & Co will replace Walker Chandiok & Co. LLP, whose term concludes at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the bank.

The appointment of M P Chitale & Co is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing AGM. The firm, registered with ICAI since 1956, has been providing professional services for over seven decades and operates from its offices in Mumbai and Pune. It offers a range of services including audit and assurance, taxation, risk and management consultancy, and is empanelled with various regulatory authorities such as RBI, ICAI, and IRDAI.

In addition to M P Chitale & Co, the RBI has also approved the appointment of , Chartered Accountants, as the other Joint Statutory Auditor for the financial year 2026-27. This marks their third year in office, following shareholder approval obtained at the AGM held on August 23, 2024.

The bank’s decision to appoint these firms aligns with the RBI guidelines issued on April 27, 2021, which govern the appointment of statutory auditors in banks.
