Renowned pop-star Justin Bieber has faced tremendous outrage on social media after posting a message in support of Israel alongside a photo of a destroyed Gaza. He removed the message as soon as he noticed the mistake he made but not before netizens caught it and called the singer out.
During the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, Bieber posted a photo of war-torn Gaza with the words “Praying for Israel” written on it on his Instagram stories.
The singer received criticism by his fans for the blunder he had caused, and as soon as he noticed the mistake, Bieber deleted the photo. Later, he posted again, this time without a picture, and wrote “Praying for Israel” with a heartbroken emoji.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) netizens called out the singer.
One tweeted, “Justin Bieber posts “Praying for Israel” over a picture of Gaza. Y’all can’t even be wrong properly”.
“Justin bieber posting praying for israel using a picture of a destroyed gaza is actually insane,” another netizen wrote.
A third user wrote, “Just embarrassing. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, then don’t talk at all. And didn’t he say just yesterday that he wasn’t going to pick sides and look what he’s doing now… picking the wrong side while he’s at it too…. Smh.”
Another user added, “Justin Bieber posting a picture of Gaza and saying “pray for Israel” is the perfect example to show you the amount of uneducated people & celebrities who have been fed a fabricated narrative by western media. Performative activism without understanding.”
On the other hand, Bieber previously posted that it was inappropriate to “villainize” all Israelis or Palestinians.
“Truly hurting for both my Israeli and Palestinian friends. I’m pretty sure we all instinctively know evil when we see it. To villainise all Palestinians or all Israeli people to me seems wrong. I’m not interested in choosing sides, but I am interested in standing with the families, who have been brutally taken from us,” he had shared.
On October 7, Israelis awoke to the sound of thousands of missiles being fired into the nation by Hamas militants, who dominate the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
Over 1,200 Israeli civilians have killed so far, and the number of dead on both sides continues to rise.
