The benchmark indices on Friday closed lower after a weak trading session dragged by Metal and Banking stocks in the last trading session of the week.

At close, Sensex was at 38,128.90 down by 11.57 points or 0.03% and Nifty down by 21 points at 11,194.15 or down by 0.19%.

The Banking and financial sector dragged the market the most on Friday leaving the Nifty Bank Losing 421.85 points or 1.83% at 22,662.05, Axis Bank top loser.
