The benchmark indices ended higher on April 27, with the Nifty 50 closing at 24,092.70, up 194.75 points or 0.81%. The BSE Sensex gained 639.42 points or 0.83% to settle at 77,303.63, while Bank Nifty rose 0.31%.
Among the top gainers in the Nifty 50, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries led the chart, closing at ₹1,732.0, up 6.9%. The stock saw the strongest percentage gain among index constituents during the session.
Jio Financial Services ended at ₹253.4, rising 3.1%, followed by Wipro, which closed at ₹205.0, up 2.9%.
Reliance Industries gained 2.8% to settle at ₹1,365.5, while Tech Mahindra also rose 2.8% to ₹1,395.9.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone closed at ₹1,628.7, up 2.8%. SBI Life Insurance added 2.7% to end at ₹1,816.4.
In the auto and metal space, Mahindra & Mahindra rose 2.2% to ₹3,105.0, while JSW Steel gained 2.2% to ₹1,283.2.
HCL Technologies rounded off the list of top gainers, closing at ₹1,229.2, up 2.2%.
Overall, gains were spread across sectors including pharma, financials, IT, and metals, contributing to the positive close for the broader market.
