Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has provided a positive update on the recovery of Alexander Isak, revealing that the striker could return to group training by the end of March or early April as he enters the final stages of his rehabilitation.
Speaking about the forward’s progress, Slot confirmed that Isak has already been back on the pitch and is gradually increasing his workload. The Dutch manager stressed that while the recovery timeline looks encouraging, the club will remain cautious before reintegrating him fully into competitive action.
“It’s nice for him to go on the pitch and nice to see him there. You know you’re in your final stages of rehab,” Slot said. “The next step is of course doing work with the ball.”
Isak has been sidelined for several weeks, and his absence has been felt during a crucial period of the season. However, Slot believes the Swedish international could make an impact once he returns, even though the final phase of recovery can be unpredictable.
