India suffered an early setback in their Group A clash against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 as Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a duck at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
Opening the innings after Pakistan opted to bowl, India lost Abhishek in the very first over. Salman Agha, opening the bowling for Pakistan, struck in the sixth delivery of the over. Abhishek attempted to pull a flat, skidding delivery but miscued it towards mid-on. Shaheen Afridi completed the catch to send the left-hander back without scoring.
