Actor Akshay Kumar has issued a clarification after an AI-generated video depicting him in the role of Maharishi Valmiki went viral online. Taking to social media on Tuesday, Kumar called the video “fake and created using AI”, adding that it was concerning to see some media outlets pick it up without verification.
The actor urged media houses to exercise greater responsibility while handling digital content. “In today’s time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information,” he said in his post.
