Actor Manoj Bajpayee has reacted to the controversy surrounding the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) non‑cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh over his reported abrupt exit from Don 3. At the trailer launch of his upcoming film Governor, Bajpayee expressed hope that the matter will be resolved amicably and soon.

Bajpayee cautioned against judging the situation purely through social‑media narratives, pointing out that most people in the industry only have fragmentary information. Addressing the issue as a fellow member of the film fraternity, he said, “All we can say as colleagues or as fellow fraternity members is that we hope the matter is sorted out soon.” His comments underline a quiet push for calm and dialogue rather than escalation in what has become a tense standoff between the actor, the production and the workers’ union.

FWICE’s directive followed a formal complaint by director Farhan Akhtar, who alleged that Ranveer left the project just three weeks before the shooting schedule, causing major disruptions.  The union has issued multiple notices to the actor, which remain unanswered, while Ranveer’s team has maintained he holds the “highest regard” for the franchise and prefers to handle the matter with dignity and maturity. Bajpayee’s measured response, meanwhile, signals a growing desire among senior actors to keep the controversy from further damaging the broader creative ecosystem.
