V and Jimin from BTS are famous for their close friendship and many heartwarming moments together. However, there’s one notable incident where V’s actions could be seen as a betrayal.

Back in 2019, BTS played a series of competitive games on their popular variety show Run BTS! for Hangul Day, including a high-stakes hide-and-seek game. In this game, all the BTS members—V, Jimin, RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, and Jungkook—had to avoid being tagged out by others. Each member had a blank sheet on their back, and the goal was to avoid getting stickers placed on their sheet by their assigned target.

Jimin was supposed to tag out SUGA, while V’s target was Jimin. However, Jimin wasn’t aware of this. When V and Jimin crossed paths, Jimin asked V if he was his target. V, not wanting to reveal the truth, lied and misled Jimin. Seizing the opportunity, V pretended to help Jimin with his sheet and ended up secretly sticking a bunch of stickers on his back.

The incident became iconic because of the surprising betrayal. Jimin, trusting V, let him handle his back without suspecting anything. It was only when the results were being announced that Jimin realized it was V who had tagged him out, not Jin as he had believed. Jimin was so annoyed by V’s deception that he declared he would “unfriend” him and threatened to end their friendship.

In other news, Jimin recently released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19. The lead track from the album made an impressive debut at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its second week.
