If you’ve ever given your gadgets personalities or shed a tear over Wall-E’s robot romance, then the upcoming anime *My Wife Has No Emotion* is going to hit you right in the feels.

*My Wife Has No Emotion*, produced by Tezuka Productions, is adapted from Jiro Sugiura’s manga. This beloved story first captivated readers online on Pixiv in March 2019 and soon found its way into print in *Comic Flapper* magazine by August of the same year. With seven volumes under its belt, there’s plenty of material to spin into a full 12-episode anime season.

The plot centers on Takuma, a guy whose life is a monotonous cycle of work and home until he buys a robot named Mina to handle his household chores. A casual joke about marrying her leads to an unexpected twist: Takuma starts to develop real feelings for Mina. While *My Wife Has No Emotion* isn’t the first anime to delve into human-robot relationships—think *Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song* and *Plastic Memories*—this series adds a light-hearted, comedic twist to the theme.

So, if you’re a fan of heartwarming, quirky tales with a dash of humor, keep an eye out for this charming new anime. It’s sure to make you laugh, cry, and maybe even see your household gadgets in a whole new light.

When is My Wife Has No Emotion releasing?

If you were lucky enough to have a Crunchyroll subscription or access to the Japanese streaming platform ABEMA, you could have caught the exclusive premiere on June 29! But don’t worry, for those of us who missed out on the early bird special, the anime will be gracing our screens on other platforms starting from July 2 at 11 pm JST. Amazon Prime will also start streaming the episodes from the same date.

The show will be directed by Fumihiro Yoshimura, with Mitsutaka Hirota (of *Rent-A-Girlfriend* fame) supervising the scripts. The voice cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Yuuri Katsuki from *Yuri!!! On Ice*, Hideyoshi Nagachika from *Tokyo Ghoul*) as Takuma and Konomi Inagaki as Mina. So at least we know our main characters will sound fantastic!
