The fantasy adventure comedy film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who also created the script with Michael Gilio based on a scenario by Chris McKay and Gilio. After defeating Hasbro and Universal Pictures in a legal battle for the film rights to the tabletop role-playing game, production proceeded through many stages of development beginning with Warner Bros. Pictures before shifting to Paramount Pictures, each with a different writer and director.

Release date – Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
On March 10, 2023, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will make its world debut at South by Southwest. Paramount Pictures intends to release the film in the US on March 31. The initial release date for the movie was July 23, 2021. Due to COVID-19, the release date was later pushed back again, first to May 27, 2022, and then to November 19, 2021. The release date was further postponed to March 3, 2023, in April 2021. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was confirmed as the movie’s official title on April 21, 2022. The movie was postponed until March 31, 2023, in November 2022.
