Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday praised NDA workers in Puducherry, saying their efforts on the ground and constant outreach helped ensure another victory for the alliance in the Union Territory.

In a post on X, Modi said he was “very proud” of the NDA karyakartas of Puducherry for their “exceptional efforts on the ground.” He said they had consistently stayed among the people and explained the alliance’s vision and track record, which, according to him, helped secure renewed public support.

Modi’s remarks come as Puducherry’s election outcome has drawn attention after strong voter participation and a closely watched contest. Live updates carried on Monday said the NDA had won another term, with the Prime Minister thanking the people of Puducherry and saying the result reflected the government’s record.

Earlier during the campaign, Modi had also projected confidence about the NDA’s prospects in Puducherry. On April 2, he said during a roadshow that the people of Puducherry had clearly decided to re-elect the NDA government so that it could continue its development agenda.

The latest message from the Prime Minister adds to the NDA’s post-result celebration in the Union Territory, where alliance leaders have been highlighting development work and organizational outreach as key factors behind the win.

The Prime Minister’s post specifically credited party workers for keeping the alliance connected with voters at the grassroots, framing the victory as the result of sustained campaign work rather than a one-day effort.
