WhatsApp has consistently experimented with and released new features. This time, the instant messaging service apparently intends to launch new features like background blur, profile photographs within groups, and forward media with a caption.
A report by WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp is getting ready to introduce an image blur function. The function will shortly be made available to WhatsApp desktop beta testers. Users of the messaging platform will also be able to forward text in addition to media in addition to this.
Users of WhatsApp can currently forward videos and photos but not captions. Users must send the material first, then separately type any relevant text. However, with the addition of the “Forward media with caption” option. Users will be able to forward captioned photographs and videos. Beta testing of the functionality is already underway, and subsequent updates to the WhatsApp mobile app will make it accessible to all users.
Another upcoming WhatsApp feature that has everyone’s interest is the ability to display profile images in group chats. In the group chat, the functionality will display each group member’s profile picture next to their message. The WhatsApp default profile icon will appear if the group member doesn’t have a profile image or if it isn’t visible to everyone. The feature is now being created. But it’s anticipated to go live shortly for the best testing.
A function for image blurring is being sent out by WhatsApp to some beta users. The capability to blur photographs is reportedly trickling out to certain PC beta testers, according to a report by WABetaInfo, the online site that tracks new and forthcoming features of WhatsApp. Users will be able to discreetly remove private information from their photographs thanks to the feature.
According to the article, WhatsApp has developed two tools that let users edit their photographs using a different blur effect. Additionally, users can select the blur size to precisely apply the effect.
The WhatsApp image blur option was discovered for the first time in June of this year. Currently, some WhatsApp desktop beta users may access it. In the near future, it’s likely that the service will be made available to mobile users as well.
