AS Roma have reached a verbal agreement to sign Dutch forward Donyell Malen from Aston Villa, with the player set to travel to the Italian capital to complete the move. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development with his trademark “Here We Go,” signalling that the deal is now at an advanced stage.
According to the details revealed, Roma will sign Malen on an initial loan deal worth £2 million. The agreement also includes a £25 million buy option, which will become mandatory if certain conditions are met. These conditions are understood to be linked to Roma securing qualification for European competition, highlighting the club’s long-term belief in the player’s impact.
Aston Villa have already authorised Malen to fly to Rome after an agreement was reached with Roma sporting director Ricky Massara. The swift progress of negotiations underlines Roma’s determination to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season, as they aim to compete strongly in Serie A and Europe.
