Actor Varun Dhawan has opened up about a challenging chapter in his personal life, revealing that his daughter, Lara, was diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). In a recent episode of Be A Man, Yaar!, speaking candidly about the health scare, the Baby John star shared the emotional journey he and his wife, Natasha Dalal, went through when they noticed their toddler struggling to hit her physical milestones.

According to Varun, the couple first became concerned when they noticed that Lara was not walking as expected for her age. “She couldn’t walk properly, and as parents, it was heart-wrenching to see her struggle,” the actor shared. DDH is a condition where the “ball and socket” joint of the hip does not form properly in babies, which can lead to limping or difficulty walking if not treated early.

Varun credited his wife, Natasha, for being the pillar of strength during this period. He noted that the diagnosis required immediate medical intervention and a disciplined treatment plan to ensure their daughter’s long-term mobility.

By sharing this story, Varun aimed to raise awareness about early detection in children. He emphasized that while the period was filled with anxiety, timely medical help made all the difference. “It’s important for parents to be observant. We were lucky to catch it and get the right treatment,” he added.

The actor confirmed that Lara is now doing much better and is on the path to a full recovery. This revelation comes at a time when Varun is balancing a massive professional slate, including the upcoming release of Border 2. Despite his hectic schedule, the actor has often spoken about how fatherhood has completely shifted his priorities, making him more protective and family-oriented.
