Pulwama, J&K: Visuals have emerged from outside the residence of Dr Muzammil Shakil, the doctor arrested in Faridabad in connection with the ongoing probe into the Red Fort car blast that killed nine people and injured more than 20.

According to police sources, during the investigation in Faridabad, the Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered 360 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate, an assault rifle, and other ammunition from a property linked to the doctor. Muzammil was taken into custody after the recovery, as investigators traced potential connections between the materials found in Faridabad and the explosives used in the Delhi blast.

Meanwhile, Muzammil’s brother, Azad Shakil, spoke to reporters outside their Pulwama residence, denying any terror link. “Allegations are being put on him that some material has been recovered from him. He has been a doctor for the last 3 years in Delhi. We are not being allowed to meet him. He used to come home twice every year. He is unmarried…,” he said.

Dr Muzammil’s arrest is part of a wider probe into a “white-collar terror module” allegedly involving professionals with connections between Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana. His associates, Dr Adil Rather and Dr Umar Mohammad, have also been linked to the network.

Investigators from Delhi Police, NIA, NSG, and J&K Police are working jointly to trace the origin of the explosives and identify the handlers suspected to be operating from abroad.

Security has been heightened across Delhi-NCR and Jammu & Kashmir, as the multi-agency probe continues into what authorities now describe as a terror-linked car bombing near Red Fort.
