Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on an official visit to Bhutan, shared a heartfelt message on Tuesday emphasizing the enduring friendship and deep-rooted cooperation between the two nations.

In his latest tweet, PM Modi said, “Please rest in the vast sky of space. Relying on the invitation from the joyful ones, to the great minister Tshering Tobgay, we express our immense gratitude. Between our two countries, including myself, there are signs of harmony and the presence of equal cooperation. Between India and Bhutan, trust and mutual respect have fostered strong equal cooperation that will last for a long time. As for me, during the time I am working on that matter, it gives rise to a desire to create harmony.”

Earlier, upon arriving in Bhutan, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, tweeting: “Landed in Bhutan. Grateful to Prime Minister Tobgay for the warm and gracious welcome at the airport. This visit reflects the deep bonds of friendship and cooperation shared between our two nations. India and Bhutan enjoy a time-tested partnership anchored in trust, goodwill, and mutual respect. I look forward to further strengthening our close ties during this visit.”

PM Modi’s visit comes as part of India’s continued focus on strengthening regional partnerships under its Neighbourhood First Policy. The discussions are expected to cover key areas such as economic cooperation, infrastructure development, and cross-border connectivity initiatives.
