The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has announced the sale of its 2005-built Medium Range product tanker, Jag Pooja, which has a capacity of approximately 48,539 DWT. The vessel is set to be delivered to the buyer, an unaffiliated third party, by Q3 FY26.
With this sale, G E Shipping’s current fleet comprises 40 vessels, including 26 tankers—5 crude tankers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers—and 14 dry bulk carriers, consisting of 2 Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax, and 2 Supramax vessels. The total fleet capacity aggregates to 3.21 million DWT.
The company is also actively managing its fleet through strategic purchase and sale agreements. In Q2 FY26, G E Shipping contracted to buy one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker and sell another secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. All three transactions are expected to be completed by Q3 FY26, reflecting the company’s continued focus on optimizing its fleet mix.
