Trac Precision Solutions (Trac), part of the PTC Industries Group, has announced a landmark partnership with Coolbrook, a global leader in transformational engineering and clean technology. The collaboration will see Trac supply advanced machined and cast components for Coolbrook’s breakthrough RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology – an innovation designed to electrify high-temperature industrial heating processes and slash CO₂ emissions worldwide.
The RDH system is capable of achieving temperatures of up to 1700°C, enabling the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries such as steel, cement, petrochemicals, and chemicals. This positions the technology as a game-changer in the global clean energy transition.
For Trac, the agreement represents a strategic diversification into the fast-growing clean tech sector, creating long-term growth opportunities. The initial phase of the award includes production of two milled blades and four cast vanes/blades – totalling nearly 27,000 parts annually across 100 engine sets. Revenues from the deal are projected to exceed £10 million per year in line with Coolbrook’s customer adoption.
This collaboration holds significant strategic impact and growth potential for Trac and the wider PTC Group. It marks a decisive move beyond its traditional aerospace and power generation businesses into the rapidly emerging industrial decarbonisation space. With RDH deployment expected to scale globally, Trac is well-positioned to benefit from a long-term, high-volume production programme that can unlock substantial expansion opportunities. At the same time, the partnership strengthens Trac’s sustainability credentials, aligning it directly with global efforts to fight climate change and making it a preferred partner for customers seeking environmentally responsible solutions.
