According to police, members of an organisation gathered at the venue to agitate and attempted to obstruct visitors despite being informed that the claims were false.
“To ensure no law-and-order issue arises, 14 protestors were taken into custody. Adequate police force has been deployed at the site, and the situation is peaceful,” said Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke of Yerwada Police Station.
The event was scheduled to go ahead as planned.
