The iconic Taj Palace hotel in Delhi received a bomb threat via email on Saturday, prompting immediate action by security agencies. Delhi Police confirmed the development and said further details are awaited as teams investigate the source of the threat.
This comes just a day after a series of similar security scares in the judiciary. On Friday, the Delhi High Court received a bomb threat, following which judges, lawyers, and staff were evacuated and the premises thoroughly searched by a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad. Earlier the same day, the Bombay High Court also received a threat, leading to the evacuation of the campus and deployment of security forces.
Authorities are on high alert amid the spate of bomb threats in high-profile locations across the country.
