The Delhi High Court on Friday witnessed dramatic scenes after a bomb threat forced an abrupt adjournment of hearings across several benches.
According to sources, a threatening letter was received by the court authorities, warning of a blast inside the High Court premises in the afternoon. Following the alert, all judges adjourned their boards, halted proceedings, and immediately vacated their courtrooms.
A bomb disposal squad and security personnel rushed to the scene, with a specialized team van stationed outside the High Court building to carry out precautionary checks.
As of now, no suspicious object has been found, but security has been tightened in and around the complex. Authorities are on high alert and an official statement is expected soon.
