HBL Engineering Limited (formerly HBL Power Systems Limited) has received a letter of acceptance from West Central Railway for the survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of trackside KAVACH equipment in the Kota-Ruthiyai section and Sogaria-Kota “C” section of the Kota division. The contract covers 166 route kilometers and includes work at 18 stations and level crossing gate locations, along with tower erection and associated infrastructure.
The total value of the contract is Rs 54.12 crore, inclusive of 18% GST, and the project is to be completed within 700 days. The company confirmed that none of its promoters have any interest in the awarding entity and that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.
Following this order, HBL Engineering’s total accumulated order book stands at Rs 4,083.17 crore. The KAVACH system is part of Indian Railways’ indigenous Automatic Train Protection initiative aimed at enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
