Shares of Sarda Energy & Minerals surged nearly 14% to ₹500.40 on August 4, making it one of the top gainers on the NSE. The sharp rally comes after the company posted robust Q1 results, with a significant improvement across all key financial metrics.

For the quarter ended June, Sarda Energy reported a 120% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹437 crore, compared to the same period last year. Revenue stood at ₹1,633 crore, marking a 76% YoY increase. EBITDA more than doubled to ₹697 crore, up 108% from last year. The company’s cash profit also witnessed strong growth, rising 161% to ₹642 crore.

Importantly, the company’s EBITDA margin expanded to 38%, reflecting operational efficiency and improved realizations. The stock opened at ₹500 and touched a high of ₹527.15 during the session. Its market capitalization stood at ₹17,711 crore as of the latest update.
