The Indian Army has scheduled a press briefing on Operation Sindoor today, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The briefing will take place at the Media Centre, Press Information Bureau (PIB), located at Shastri Bhawan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi.
Earlier today, the Indian Armed Forces confirmed the launch of Operation Sindoor, a precision military operation targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to an official press release by the Ministry of Defence, a total of nine (9) sites were hit — all linked to the planning and direction of attacks against India.
The government emphasized that the strikes were focused, measured, and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military assets were involved in the operation. India has shown restraint in the choice of targets and methods, the release noted.
The action comes in response to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. The ministry reiterated that India is committed to ensuring those responsible are held accountable.
