Triptii Dimri, one of Bollywood’s rising stars, has always remained deeply connected to her roots. In a recent interview with Cosmo India, the Animal actress opened up about her childhood in the Himalayan foothills, sharing fond memories of a simple yet fulfilling way of life.
Recalling her early days, Triptii described the carefree nature of growing up in the mountains. “We would be out playing all day, from six in the morning to 11 at night. I would play with the village kids, drink water straight from the stream, and watch my mother clean the house with geeli mitti (wet mud),” she shared.
Triptii’s deep connection with nature and tradition shaped her personality, and she believes her upbringing played a crucial role in keeping her grounded despite the glitz and glamour of the film industry. She reminisced about the earthy scent of wet mud and wood, a fragrance that still brings back a flood of childhood memories. “I remember I would sit around and just take in the earthy smell, which is like when you mix wood and rain together, and sometimes, I would eat that too,” she recalled.
Her reflections offer a rare glimpse into a life far removed from the fast-paced world of Bollywood. Even as she continues to climb the ladder of success, Triptii remains rooted in the values of simplicity and authenticity—qualities that she believes define her Pahadi heritage.
