It has finally revealed that Kriti Sanon will be starring opposite Dhanush in the film, Tere Ishk Mein. The makers of the film, on Tuesday, unveiled a teaser showcasing Kriti in an enigmatic avatar, perfectly embodying the depth, intensity, and complexities of her character. The hauntingly beautiful score assured an unforgettable musical odyssey.
No sooner that Kriti was confirmed as female lead, several fans reacted to the teaser and expressed excitement to watch their favorite actress sharing screen space with Dhanush.
The update on casting comes a day after the maker of Tere Ishk Mein released a teaser featuring a poignant voiceover by an unidentified actress. In the clip, she can be heard saying, “Shankar, Ishq mein sirf ladke hi marte hai kya? Kuch ladkiya bhi kaleja rakhti hai jaan dene ka.”
The film is produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and bring on board A.R. Rahman for his monumental soundtrack and lyricist Irshad Kamil.
The movie is written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, and promises to retain the passionate love and intensity that defined Raanjhanaa while exploring a fresh storyline.
The movie faced delays due to Dhanush’s prior commitments, and is now set to begin production in October 2024, with a theatrical release targeted for 2025.
