Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic historical drama – Padmaavat – starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, is a set to return to theatres. The movie was a massive success at the box office upon its release in 2018. However, as certain netizens are claiming that movie is heading towards its re-release, an alleged team member has suggested that SLB ‘insulted’ Deva actor on the sets of Padmaavat.
Recently, Shahid shared an experience where he was ‘sidelined’ as a star before the success of Kabir Singh. This sparked a heated discussion, wherein a user, claiming to have worked on the sets of Padmaavat, alleged that Shahid was left to handle secondary shots, while Ranveer avoided them.
The user claimed that when Shahid spoke up, the director ignored him and also allegedly insulted him. He wrote, “Shahid, giving all the shots if he said something, the director was not listening and he insults shahid. Time matters.”
The Reddit user chipped in that Ranveer was at the peak of his career, while Shahid was going through a rough phase.
Meanwhile, during a recent chat with Raj Shamani, the actor opened up about a time when he felt crushed and undervalued, particularly before the success of Kabir Singh. While he revealed that he was put in a situation that made him feel ‘lesser’, but admitted that it wasn’t something imposed on him by anyone.
