US President Donald Trump said he will visit the Gulf Coast states of Louisiana and Texas this weekend after Hurricane Laura caused widespread destruction.
At a media briefing at Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters, Trump told reporters he would probably visit Texas and Louisiana on Saturday or Sunday and the trip might also include an additional stop.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Laura caused widespread power outages, severe flooding and left at least six people dead. It even blew out the windows of many high-rise buildings.

There was more structural damage from winds than anticipated. Around 900,000 homes and businesses lost power as the storm hit the Gulf Coast states.
The deadly storm is one of the strongest to make landfall in Louisiana in more than a century.
