Gujarat Gas shares rose over 3% in morning trade after the company posted robust Q2 FY25 earnings, driven by a 12% year-on-year growth in CNG volumes. The company achieved 2.93 million metric standard cubic meters per day in CNG volume.
For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, Gujarat Gas reported revenue of Rs 3,949 crore, slightly down from Rs 3,991 crore in Q2 FY24. However, EBITDA rose 5% to Rs 553 crore, while standalone profit after tax (PAT) increased by 3%, reaching Rs 307 crore.
Total sales volumes for Q2 FY25 were 8.75 mmscmd, a decrease from 9.32 mmscmd in the same quarter last year.
For the first half of FY25, total sales volumes grew by 6% to 9.86 mmscmd, reflecting strong operational performance. This positive momentum highlights Gujarat Gas’ solid growth trajectory in the natural gas sector.
