Century Textiles & Industries saw its shares jump more than 21% this week after the company acquired the ownership rights in its leasehold land parcel in Worli, Mumbai.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “Century Textiles and Industries Limited (CTIL) has acquired the ownership rights of approx. 10-acre leasehold land parcel in Worli, Mumbai from Mr. Nusli Wadia.”
The deal increases the company’s potential for landholding and booking value. The company’s exchange filing states that Rs 1,100 crore was paid for the land parcel.
