The argument between Payal Rohatgi and Ali Merchant intensified over the infamous Halal vs Jhatka dispute that was going rounds all over India.
As Payal said Halal should be banned, Ali criticized her stand and started supporting Halal. As the conversation progressed, the subject turned to religion, but before it devolved into a brawl, everyone had calmed them down.
After this, angry from this whole controversy, Munwar Faruqui bashed Ali Merchant by questioning his wisdom.
He further told Ali that he has now forgotten his religion and tried to play politics with it.
After hearing all this, when Ali tries to justify himself by stating he has no interest in appearing on the programme, Munawar reprimands him, telling him that if he really wants to go, he should go with dignity and not lose his respect.
