Jyothy Labs has announced that its license agreements with Henkel AG & Co. KGaA for the Pril brand will not be renewed beyond 31 May 2026. This development follows discussions between the two companies regarding the renewal and other options, which ultimately concluded with no reasonable possibility of extending the agreements.
The original agreements, signed on 31 May 2011, allowed Jyothy Labs to manufacture, distribute, market, and sell products under the Pril and Fa brands. These agreements included automatic renewal provisions until 31 May 2026. However, Henkel has now decided against renewing the Pril license.
In response to this decision, Jyothy Labs convened a board meeting to discuss the situation and evaluate all available options. The company has stated that any material developments will be promptly disclosed to the public.
The financial impact of the non-renewal is currently under evaluation, and Jyothy Labs has assured stakeholders that they will be informed of any significant outcomes as they arise.
