The feature is now under development and can be availed for future development. According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, users will be allowed to keep the disappearing messages option ‘Off’ or else opt for a time limit of 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days.
The header of the page is outdated and still displays 7 days, showcasing that the feature is under development. It is probable to be rectified before WhatsApp reveals the feature for an extensive user base.
In personal chats, the option for disappearing messages can be operated by both the end-users. In group conversations, any member can alter the setting, which can be done under the Group Info option.
Seemingly, there will be some time till the feature is released for beta users. Then, in that case, it might take weeks, or even months, before reaching the normal users’ account.
